Get ready to hit the courts for a cause! Serve, smash, and support Alexandria Zoo at this fun-filled, competitive event for pickleball players of all skill levels. The tournament is open to players ages 10 and up. Food trucks will be on site.

Parking: Please use Lee Street to enter parking lot. The Masonic Drive entrance to the Complex will be closed to vehicle traffic.

General Information

All teams are guaranteed a two-game minimum.

Divisions

Junior (Ages 10-14) / Men / Women / Mixed

Skill Levels

Novice / Intermediate / Advanced
Skill Levels within each Division may be merged by the Tournament Director.

T-Shirts

T-Shirts will be provided on a first come, first served basis for registered participants; if we run out of your selected size, we will provide the next available size.

Tournament Format

Matches consist of one game.
Game Scoring Format is to 15, win by 2 points.
Point Scoring: Points are scored by the serving side only and occur when the opponent faults (fails to return the ball, hits it out of bounds, etc.). The server continues to serve, alternating service courts until the serving side faults. The first side to score 15 points and leading by 2-point margin wins. If both sides are tied, then play continues until one side wins by 2 points.

Day of Tournament

Prior to Match

  • Warm-up courts will be available.
  • Check in at tournament desk 15 minutes prior to scheduled time on bracket. Your assigned court and balls will be given for play.
  • If a team is 15 minutes late for their scheduled match, then they automatically forfeit.
  • Please bring your own paddle. Paddles will not be provided.

During Match

  • All matches will last a maximum time of 35 minutes. A 5-minute warmup, if needed, will take place prior to the match's 35-minute time frame.
  • Water breaks may be given at any time if needed by either team.
  • Standard rules apply, if in need of tournament rules or questions ask tournament desk for help.

After Match

  • Immediately after the match has ended, the winning team should gather all pickleballs and report the final score to tournament desk. Tournament desk will give next match time for both teams.
  • Tournament prizes will be given to Winners of the Main Bracket.

Parking

Please note: The entrance to the Alexandria Tennis Complex from Masonic Drive will be closed to traffic for the tournament. All attendees should enter from Lee Street. Additional parking is available at the City Park Playground.

Got time between pickleball games? Don't just sit around! Stroll over to the City of Alexandria's Youth & Teen Center to relax, cool off, and have some fun. We've got a pool table, ping pong, air hockey, and foosball ready for you to enjoy. Play pickleball during the week at the Teen Center: Mondays & Wednesdays 5 PM - 7:30 PM; Tuesdays & Fridays 9 AM - 12 PM.
