The Sunset Expedition is an ed-venture that takes place here at the Alexandria Zoo beginning at 6 pm and ending at 10 pm. You will discover fascinating "creatures of the night" as zoo staff and volunteers guide you through the moonlit zoo! Kids and adults will enjoy a scavenger hunt, an animal encounter, a train ride, a craft, and an evening snack! Each child will receive a glow-stick for the night tour, a photo with an animal, and a night full of fun!

In order to reserve an evening to have a Sunset Expedition there is a minimum requirement of 20 people (maximum 35) planning to attend. This number does not include any adults that will also be attending. If the Expedition is for a group there is to be one adult for every 3 children. If the Expedition is scheduled by zoo staff then there is to be a one adult for each family.

• $10 registration fee (FOTAZ Members) - glow-stick, scavenger hunt, train ride, animal encounter, S知ores
• $25 registration fee (NON-FOTAZ Members) - glow-stick, scavenger hunt, train ride, animal encounter, photograph with animal, craft, S知ores
• $20 registration fee (FOTAZ Members) - glow-stick, scavenger hunt, train ride, animal encounter, photograph with animal, craft, S知ores

If this is something that your group might be interested in please contact our Education Department to see about scheduling a date that would be perfect for your Sunset Expedition! A MINIMUM of two weeks is needed to prepare for your group痴 Sunset Expedition.
