Baby colobus monkey born
On August 5, 2008, a colobus monkey was born at the Alexandria Zoo. The baby, presently all white in color, will develop its characteristic black and white coat within the coming months. Colobus monkeys live in the forests of Central Africa, from Nigeria to Ethiopia and Tanzania. They are tree dwellers and their diet in the wild consists mainly of leaves.
