Explore the natural world in a fun, interactive environment. Homeschool classes at Alexandria Zoo are a unique addition to your child's science curriculum.

Classes include animal visits, class discussions, keeper talks, activities, and guided tours of the Zoo. Classes will provide each student with a one-of-a-kind learning experience to enhance his or her love of nature, conservation and animals. Classes are intended to build on one another, but students are not required to attend all classes.

Registration Information

Class Time

All classes are 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Registration

Registration is required by the Monday before your chosen class. Register online, in person, or by mail. Payment is required to complete registration.

FOTAZ Members

Fee per class: $10
The Parent/Guardian listed on the form must match the name listed on the FOTAZ Membership to qualify for the discount, and FOTAZ membership status is checked.

Non-members

Fee per class: $12

Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling requests are determined by availability.

For Online Registration

  • Each class has to be registered for individually.
  • Multiple children can be registered for the same class on one online form.
  • Once you have submitted the online form, you will be redirected to PayPal for payment. You do not need a PayPal account; a credit card can be used.
  • If you do not recieve a payment confirmation email from PayPal, your registration is incomplete.
